You miss the point.
Personally I don't have anything against the people of China, the Chinese government is a different story.
These companies are mostly owned by big american corporations who don't care about anything but the bottom line. As far as progress goes, what kind of progress will come from these large companies when all the hand shapers are gone and there is no longer any competition? Will the prices remain competitive? Does big business care about the guys that taught them how to make a board? What happens when I ride one of these boards and decide I'd like a little more entry rocker and perhaps just a little less foam? Can I get them to change that for me? Occasionally I like to log on to BBC's website when I get tired of hearing the fluff poured out over the TV stations, and I am a bit concerned about the speech I caught a while back where a Chinese official stated that they would destroy us economically. The Chinese Government has held back the value of the Yen to keep a competitive edge in manufacturing and at anytime could let it go and the American dollar would sink like a rock.
So maybe you are wise to embrace the Chinese as they are on the verge of destroying us just like they claimed they would. Maybe if your lucky they will let you hang out and lick their boots after they crush the very country that you live in.
